Application

Vertical sand traps serves for catching the sand, which is wafted by waste water. Inflow into sand catcher can be either gravitational or from pumping station. In case of gravitational inflow, waste water must be mechanically pre-treated before it enters the sand catcher. Bottom of the sand catcher, where heavy particles settle, is conical. There is a nozzle with air at the bottom of the sand catcher for stirring up the sediment, which is further pumped via air-lift pump into dewatering container.

Material workmanship

The sand catcher can be made in full stainless design including outer jacket or outer jacket can be made of concrete. Advantage of full stainless design is the fact that the sand catcher can freely stand in denitrification tank without necessity to make concrete layer around it.

Model range

Sand catchers are made in four types with different diameter and maximal possible flow. According to wish of a customer, it is possible to produce even bigger types.
